Designer Michael Nadeau began engraving in 1970. He has done custom engraving for celebrities and major jewelry houses. His combined talent and experience has made his newest designs possible. Michael started his snowflakes after reviewing 2000 photographs of actual snowflakes. He selected patterns of interest and began the process of engraving the steel dies. After the dies are cut, the individual patterns must be cut out by hand to expose the inticate detail of each pattern. Each snowflake must be prepared and plated with the precious metal rhodium, more valuable than gold, rhodium will never tarnish. Each snowflake is original, handcrafted and one of a kind, as in nature, no two snowflakes are alike.
